Electrical resistivity

Definition

The electrical resistivity is the physical measure, which defines the linear characteristic of the material the conductor is made of, in order to oppose resistance to electrical current passing through it.

1 ohm metre is the electrical resistivity (specific resistance) of the uniform material the conductor is made of, with the cross section of 1 square meter and the 1 meter length presents a resistance of 1 ohm.
