Luminous flux

Definition

The luminous flux is the physical measure, which defines the intensity of the light source caused by a solid angle.

1 lumen is the luminous flux of a punctiform source with a solid angle of 1 steradian for intensity of 1 candela.

Radiated power of a light source is not expressed in lumens per Watt, but also because the sensitivity of the human eye differs according to the wavelength.
