Definition

The thermal resistivity or specific thermal resistance is the physical measure, which defines the effect of resistance for internal energy transport due to inhomogeneity caused by thermal agitation at molecular level and it is an irreversible phenomenon.

1 metre kelvin per watt is the thermal resistivity of the body or the environment, for which the stationary surface density of 1 watt per square metre is determined by a temperature gradient equal to 1 kelvin per metre.
