The volume of the spherical layer

Definition:

A layer of a sphere is a part of a sphere that is sectioned between two parallel planes of sectioning. Spherical girdle is the curve surface of the spherical layer. The circles ABC and DEF are bases of the spherical girdle. The distance between bases is the height of the spherical layer.

Computing relationship:

where:

r1, r2 — the radiuses of bases;

h — the height of a layer of a sphere.

Calculator: the volume of the spherical layer

For separation of number integers and decimals, use the symbol – point [.]

the radius — r1

the radius — r2

the height of a layer of a sphere — h
