The area of a cyclinder

Definition:

A cylinder is a solid formed as result of rotating a rectangle around one of its sides. The cylindric surface is the result of a complete rotation of a parallel segment with the axis of rotation.

The area of a cyclinder is the sum of lateral surface (cylindrical surface) and its bases. The base is calculated by the formula of the area of a circle, disc.

The area of a cylinder’s lateral is the product of the Π value and the radius of the rotating circumference and its height.
